Who is Egg Freezing for?
Our Egg Freezing Package is suitable for women who are not ready to have a baby but wish to preserve their fertility. This is because the quantity and quality of women’s eggs deteriorate as they get older, making it more difficult to have a baby. Egg Freezing can be chosen by women who have not yet found the right partner or are not in a position to have a child, as well as those who are facing medical issues such as cancer treatment, or early menopause.
What Does Egg Freezing Involve?
The method that we use for egg freezing is known as egg vitrification, with the whole process usually taking around 2 weeks to complete. This can be broken down into 4 steps:
1. Hormone medication is taken for a few days, in order to mature the eggs within the ovaries.
2. Blood tests and scans are arranged, to check the growth of eggs.
3. Once the egg sacs have reached a suitable size, they are collected in a short theatre procedure.
4. The resulting eggs are then fast-frozen using vitrification, ready for storage.
In order to achieve the best amount of quality eggs, it is usually recommended that this procedure takes place before the age of 35. Our egg freezing package includes all treatment services and medication required for one full cycle and storage for one year.

Covid tests
Please note that during the Covid-19 situation, to protect you and staff, we have decided to carry out Covid Antigen tests for those undergoing (or providing semen for) treatment. We feel these are necessary to ensure that treatment is carried out safely. Covid Antigen tests cost £86 each, and you should expect around two tests per cycle. Apricity’s Covid Antigen tests are priced at cost price without applying a premium or profit margin. If you are experiencing Covid symptoms, please be aware that you are able to access a free Covid antigen test available through the NHS by visiting the following website: https://www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test
Annual storage of eggs
For 12 months, after first year: +£410
Subsequent cycles
This package includes all treatment services and medication required for one egg freezing cycle. If you're interested in multiple cycles, we also offer:
- Egg Freezing | 2 cycles: £9,975
- Egg Freezing | 3 cycles: £13,800
Other
- Endometrial scratching,
- Non-routine blood-tests,
- Any add-on therapies (including add-on medication therapies)
The HFEA considers that there isn't enough evidence to support the efficacy of some "add-on" treatments such as time-lapse imaging or PGS, which is why we do not include them in our standard pricing packages. We also do not include non-routine tests such as Natural Killer Cells or DNA fragmentation, although if required, we would be happy to arrange them for you at additional cost.
