2020 has been an interesting year for us all. It has challenged us in so many ways - from our ideas of health and safety to how we socialise and work. It’s forced us to find ways to be close while staying apart. Fertility patients have had a particularly painful time, with few certainties as they try to start or grow their families.
We are also proud of how we behaved as a company. We came together and worked full-force to ensure we could stay open, even if virtually, to offer support and advice to those who felt lost. We ensured our advisors remained available during extended hours and added complimentary, unlimited supportive counselling to all of our treatment packages.
It’s what enabled us to treat over 300 patients this year (twice as many as 2019), with success rates considerably above the country average. Our sister company, Egg Donation matching service, Altrui, continues to lead the way in egg donation with the best rates in the country, ten years running (79% this year).
For the many with questions, we also found ways to be there. We planned meaningful webinars (including Discovering Donation with Defining Mum) and we made fertility more transparent by developing a new Fertility Predictor (recently featured on BBC Click). Our fertility advisors remain available seven days a week, offering complimentary discovery calls to help you explore your fertility options.
